House Committee on Energy and Commerce Subcommittees Examine the Biden Administration's Energy Policy

The House Committee on Energy and Commerce Subcommittees on Energy and Environment and Climate Change are holding a joint hearing today to examine the Biden-Harris Administration's energy agenda.

The hearing will focus on the Administration's goals of achieving a 100% clean energy economy by 2050 and reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 50-52% below 2005 levels by 2030.

The hearing will also examine the Administration's efforts to address climate change, including its plans to invest in clean energy infrastructure, promote energy efficiency, and support research and development of new clean energy technologies.

  • Ms. Lisa Hanle, Senior Vice President for Policy, American Petroleum Institute

"The climate crisis is the existential threat of our time, and we must act now to address it," said Pallone. "This hearing will provide an opportunity to examine the Biden-Harris Administration's energy agenda and discuss the urgent actions we need to take to build a clean energy economy and protect our planet for future generations."
